London and more

My amazing first time in the UK.

We flew from Amsterdam to London, it was a really short flight, and we arrived to our Airbnb apartment by midnight. The next morning we went to Covent garden for breakfast and a did tour of Westminster.

After the tour we took the underground to Camden town, we went to the market and basically ate a lot of food.

Day 2: Oxford Street, Borough Market and Tate Modern

Day 3: It was a rainy and cold day, so we decided to go to the Museum. Turned out everyone else also had this brilliant idea, so the museums area was packed. We went to Victoria & Albert because it was less crowded, had lunch in Soho, returned to covent garden and watched the musical 'Metilda'.

Day 3: Shoreditch, Old Spitalfields Market, Brick lane Market, Baker street and Regent's Park.

Sweet stop at Ottolenghi.

Day 4: Changing of the guards, Fortnum & Mason, Natural History Museum, London Tower Bridge.

Day 6: Holland Park, Notting Hill, Portobello Market, Hyde Park, Saint Acmes Cafe.

This was our last and most beautiful day in London, The sun was out all day. We went back to the apartment in the evening, got our bags and took a train to Brighton, were we stayed at friend's house.

Day 7: We had a full day to explore Brighton and a long list of recommendations. We visited Brighton's Dome, the Lanes, The Pier, and also took a bus to Hove to see the iconic colorful little houses.

Brighton is full of second hand and vintage stores. We found really cool stuff, including the top I'm wearing. It was hotter than I anticipated and I only had a long sweater, so I just bought this top and wore it for the rest of the day.

Day 8: we had a few hours in Brighton before we went to the airport, so we just hanged out, did a bit of shopping and went to the Pier.

Goodbye England. Up next: Berlin blog post. Stay tuned.
